In plain English: ZooVo is a tool that lets you, the parent, hand-pick public
YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels into a calm, locked player for your child. We don't host,
sell, or alter those videos — they play through the platforms' own official players. Your
subscription pays for the app and parental controls, never for the content itself.
1 Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and
ZooVo ("ZooVo", "we", "us", "our") governing your use of the ZooVo mobile
application, websites, and related services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read,
understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree,
please do not use the Service.
2 What ZooVo is — and isn't
ZooVo is a parental-control and digital-wellbeing tool. It lets a parent curate
their own playlists of existing, publicly available YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, and play
only those videos in a calm, distraction-free, lockable player for their child.
ZooVo is not a source of video content. We do not host, store, download,
record, re-stream, or modify any third-party video. All videos play through the official
embedded players provided by YouTube and Instagram, with their ads, branding, and controls
intact.
Your subscription pays for the software and parental controls — curation,
the locked player, profiles, screen-time limits, and reports — never for access to
the videos themselves, which remain free to view on their original platforms.
ZooVo is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored
by, or partnered with YouTube, Google LLC, Instagram, or Meta Platforms, Inc. All
trademarks belong to their respective owners.
3 Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract
to create an account. The Service is intended for use by parents and guardians,
not by children directly.
The account holder is the parent/guardian. You are responsible for all
activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.
Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4 PIN & Kids Mode
ZooVo lets you set a parent PIN to lock "Kids Mode" so a child cannot exit the player or reach
parent controls without it. The PIN is a convenience safety feature, not a guarantee. You are
responsible for keeping your PIN private and for supervising your child's device use. We are not
liable if a PIN is shared, guessed, bypassed, or forgotten.
5 Playlists & third-party content
You choose which videos to add to your playlists. You are solely responsible
for the videos you select and for deciding whether they are appropriate for your child.
Videos are identified by their public links and are played through the official platform
players. ZooVo only stores the references needed to re-display a video and does not retain
third-party content beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
Third-party videos are owned by their creators and platforms and are subject to those
platforms' own terms. A video may become unavailable, private, deleted, age-restricted, or
non-embeddable at any time, outside our control.
You must not use ZooVo to add or display content you are not permitted to view, or content
that is unlawful.
6 Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
download, copy, scrape, re-host, proxy, or redistribute any video or stream, or attempt to
circumvent the official embedded players;
remove, obscure, mute, skip, or tamper with any ads, branding, titles, or links shown by the
embedded players;
reverse-engineer, decompile, interfere with, or disrupt the Service or its security;
use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose, or to violate the terms of
YouTube, Google, Instagram, or Meta;
resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
7 Subscriptions & billing
ZooVo offers a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription. Current
features and prices are shown in the app and on our website and may change with notice.
Paid subscriptions are processed through the app store or payment provider you purchase
through (for example, Google Play). Your purchase is also subject to that provider's terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and at the then-current
price unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your
app-store account settings.
Refunds are handled according to the policy of the store or provider you
purchased through, and applicable law. Except where required by law, fees already paid are
non-refundable.
We may offer promotional or founding-member pricing, which may differ from standard pricing
and may be time-limited.
8 YouTube, Instagram & availability
ZooVo depends on third-party platforms and their embedded players to function. We do not control
those platforms and cannot guarantee that any particular video, feature, or platform will remain
available, embeddable, or unchanged. We may modify, limit, or remove functionality if a platform
changes its services, terms, or technical requirements. We provide the Service "as available" and
are not responsible for third-party platform outages, content removals, or policy changes.
9 Intellectual property
The ZooVo app, website, name, logo, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are
protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive,
non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own family's non-commercial use,
subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Third-party videos and
marks remain the property of their respective owners.
10 Children & parental responsibility
ZooVo is a tool for parents to use with their children. You, the parent or guardian, are
responsible for choosing the content your child watches, supervising their use, and setting
appropriate limits. ZooVo does not knowingly collect personal information from children and is not
directed at children for account creation. While we design the Service to support safe viewing, we
do not warrant that any content is suitable for a particular child — that judgement is yours.
11 Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which
forms part of these Terms. In short: the account belongs to the parent, and we do not collect
personal information from children or use any activity data to advertise to or profile a child.
12 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any
kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant
that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any specific video or feature
will always be available.
13 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZooVo and its directors, employees, and suppliers will not
be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any
loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use)
the Service or any third-party content. To the extent we are found liable, our total aggregate
liability will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the
12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold ZooVo harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses
(including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these
Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including the terms of YouTube, Google,
Instagram, or Meta.
15 Changes, suspension & termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide
reasonable notice (for example, in the app or by email). Your continued use after changes take
effect means you accept the updated Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may suspend or terminate
your account if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Certain provisions
(including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.
16 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law
rules. Subject to applicable law, the courts at [your city/state, India] will have
exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
